world cup 2010 expected to surpass records!

After Olympics, the biggest arena of any sport is Football world cup. The world gets smaller and concentrated to the venue for the entire period of soccer world cup. The first African host at such a big stage South Africa is all set to host World cup 2010. The nineteenth edition of the sport will showcase total of 64 matches played over the period of one month at ten different venues. 202 nations tried their skills and luck in the qualifying rounds for three years, but only 32 nations are qualified for the world cup 2010 finals.

After the great run at Germany in 2006, Italians are the defending champions and also the second favorites after Brazilians. Australian socceroos are expected to find a better place than the last finals and Argentina and Spain are the other expected contenders of the trophy. World cup 2010 finals will be at Johannesburg in the front of massive crowd of over 90,000. Last final at Germany experienced a record of 715 million spectators watching it. This time, both FIFA and South Africa are expecting to surpass the record and set up a new milestone.
